Acted on 3/29: We can't ALL be rejected, right?

<p>What happened to the "remaining 3600 spots?" What happened to "the majority of acceptances are still to come?" My hope is really starting to dwindle...</p>

<p>I really don't understand. I'm well-qualified with scores/GPA above their middle-50%. Why do they hate me? I genuinely did not think that this would happen. But perhaps I am naive. And USC is rather infamous for seemingly random admission decisions. But still...</p>

<p>Are there ANY recent admits with the Acted On 3/29 status? ANY??</p>

<p>I still have a sliver of hope. Maybe the acceptance packets were sent out later. Look at "jhuscla," he lives in SoCal, has good stats, has the 3/29 status, and STILL hasn't received anything. Maybe most are rejects, but some are accepted?</p>

<p>sadly enough, I think we can all be rejected... :(..I haven't checked my mail yet [I'm at work], but after reading some posts, I'm expecting the worst.</p>

<p>havent received my results and i live in norcal. im leaning towards ucsd as of the moment right now but we'll see.</p>

<p>Keep in mind... USC rejected ~29,000 people this year. that's a lot.</p>

<p>I called USC admissions on friday and they said that the remaining decisions will be mailed out today, Monday March 31st...so maybe that's why a lot of people haven't received anything yet including myself</p>

<p>.....Did you ask if any of those were acceptances? If not, does someone want to call and ask? I really don't want to call only to hear them say no....</p>

<p>Dude! They said <em>all</em> decisions had been mailed out on the 28th! And they promised we'd hear back by April 1st! This is too frustrating!</p>

<p>No I didn't ask but the lady on the phone wasn't very pleasant...seems like they are probably getting annoyed with all the phone calls asking the same question lol</p>

<p>well u can always think of it this way. Acceptance = bigger package = longer time to ship :) just keep that in mind and stay strong.</p>

<p>Even if the package is big, it should get here soon. =/ I mean, it's in priority mail. Boston U gave out acceptances on Friday and I got the package today and it's farther from Boston to Texas than Los Angeles to Texas. D<</p>

<p>Yea, this waiting thing is killing me. I just want my rejection so I can stop stressing over this. I've wasted way too much time worrying about USC. It's 100000000% my top choice and dream school, but the status updates on top of this trickling out of acceptances/denials is RIDICULOUS.</p>
