I really love the variety of acceptances. I remember how helpful this list was when we were starting this process. I cannot wait for Kid1 to make his decision already. The last accepted student visit is mid-April, and only 1 more college acceptance/denial to come. Waiting for decisions from college is hard, and waiting for introvert dude to discuss where’s he’s leaning is hard also. Just so you know, I will be opening some bubbly when he decides. I may drink the whole bottle myself.

Hi all! I can’t believe that I’m just now finding this whole College Confidential Forum. This would have been VERY useful 6 months ago! Oh well, at least I’m here now, and excited to see all the support and help in the community. My daughter is an actor and director and all she wants to do is train, train, train in college. We live outside L.A., but she’s auditioned mainly for schools in NYC, a couple in London, and Carnegie Mellon. We’ll miss her, wherever she ends up, but this has been her dream since she was about 8 years old, and I’m excited to watch her take this next big step! I’ll update on the couple admissions we know about in the official “admissions” post below

Thanks, all – it feels like a good place filled with other folks who get the fun and insanity and joy and anxiety of being theater parents! @actingdreams It was via email. She got an email yesterday at 2:00pm Pacific time saying there was an update to her status portal (or whatever the language was they used), and then clicked to her status, and then confetti flew around the screen (well, digital confetti) and the whole Congratulations email came up saying she’d been accepted to the university and to the Theater program in the Performance track. Then she got another email from the director of the theater program welcoming her, links to look at, etc. It also said that she’d be receiving the same thing in the actual mail in the coming weeks.
