Acting/Musical Theatre - Wildcat Days

I'm hoping folks can help me understand if Wildcat Days is more a high level campus fair about Northwestern, or whether there is a real opportunity to learn/understand a particular program, such as Acting and Musical Theatre within the School of Communications. Given the uniqueness of the Musical Theater program, as compared to other conservatory based programs, I'm trying to really understand what Northwestern has to offer, and am hoping my long trip to Wildcat Days will provide this information.

Appreciate any help, I'm hoping my trip down to the continental U.S. from Alaska will be worthwhile.

We found Wildcat Days very informative, it definitely helped my daughter decide on NU and confirmed my belief that it was the best place for her. You observe classes, meet with professors and students, get your questions answered, etc. While my husband and I were trying to stay out of the way we noticed that there was going to be a meeting regarding the MT auditions for interested students, run by the future head of the department (current head) and we asked if we could sit in on it if we sat in a corner and made no noise. They held the meeting because of all the panic and rumors that were going around campus about the auditions. That was impressive by itself (having a meeting to squash all the incorrect rumors) but everything David Bell said in that meeting was perfect and honest and we relayed that info to our daughter who was observing a dance class at the time.

You will definitely be very involved with the SoC Theatre/MT program during Wildcat Days, it is very worthwhile.
