That is an amazingly wonderful list. But she will need some safer choices that she likes, too.

I was thinking that, too…it’s a great list, but given the random-ness of the process and the size of the competitive universe, one that could leave even a very talented candidate with nothing.

But maybe not, and good luck to you.

I am chiming in with actor12 and Jkekkynh17, in a perfect world, your list would be fine, but in this not so perfect auditioning world, your list needs to be widened, perhaps.

I agree with the above. Given the selectivity of the programs (except for maybe NYU which does accept quite a bit more students) the list is some of the top programs that take very few. There are many you can add on, even more of the selective types, but you should definitely add some of the BA programs or some of the less selective schools. My D did have a large list, most were very selective but there were also a couple of others.

Yes, absolutely! Thank you all for that wise advice! As I mentioned, we need to pretty much double the size of the list, so adding more programs comes next.

I totally understand what everyone is saying about the schools being selective. On the other hand I wouldn’t add schools that she knows she wouldn’t attend just to have more options. But you will have to be willing to accept the outcome of those choices no matter what. My S only applied to 6 schools which I think was 2 too many but he was willing to accept the outcome of those 6 choices.
