<p>I'm applying for admission to Class of 2015.
Over the last 4 years at school, my major EC/activity has been debating.
Under that I've won debates and individual honours which I want to mention.</p>

<p>Additionally, I also served as President of my schools debating society for the last 2 years.
Under that I organized major events such an International Conference at my school, and I carried out lots of other measures in my capacity as President that I would like to talk about.</p>

<p>The problem is - there's not enough space under 1 debate/speech banner where I can cover both. Also, the 2 aren't relevant to each other.</p>

<p>Should I mention both of them, taking up 2 activity slots, or should I mention the stuff about winning debates, and ask my teacher/school counsellor to talk about the other one in my rec ?</p>

<p>Thing is - debating is my biggest EC and I dont want to underplay it. Suggestions ?</p>

<p>Were you on a school debate team as well as a debating society? If so, you should definitely split that into two different activities.</p>

<p>in my school they fight the space for the EC by sending a list of activities along with every application, so ur not underrepresented at all… u cud ask if ur school will do that for u, that way, one slot or two, u wont be worried about not having mentioned anything…</p>
