Activities for this summer?

<p>Well it's that time of year again, summer. Sadly this will be our last summer (class of 09') before going off to college. :(</p>

<p>Anyways, what are some activites or things that I can do over the summer that'll help my application look stellar for this fall?</p>

<p>I'm hoping to apply to UPEN under ED.</p>

<p>So yeah, what are some things that I can do over the summer that'll look good on my application..</p>

<p>So far my plan is, continuing going to fencing camp, get another job, go on a college road trip with my friends, take some classes at the college, and do some volunteer work. </p>

<p>I feel like there's a lot more I can do, I just can't think of any.</p>

<p>Please help me and list some things that colleges like to see kids do over the summer!!!</p>

<p>I don't think colleges like to "see" anything. What they probably don't want to see is that you signed up for something just because you thought it would look good on your college application.</p>

<p>So far, it sounds like you're doing a bunch of things that you enjoy, and they sound more interesting than you make them out to be (community service? fenching camp? those are cool). You're also taking summer classes, and etc.</p>

<p>None of my friends who go to Penn or other ivies did anything that was that extravagant or unusual with their summers. Next to them, actually, you look like you're doing quite a bit!</p>
