What about instructors at those ski spots?? I would love to learn to ski.

All the major US ski areas have ski schools. And it’s pretty typical to have classes for people who have never skied before. I hope you get the opportunity, Maelstrom 16.

Thank you Seashore. I have never even seen snow in my life, so it would be an awesome experience :)

Oh if you go to Tufts, you’ll see more snow than you bargained for.

Really?? I come from a hot place. What is the climate and weather like?? Is it like cold all the time??

^^All the time? No; in fact in can get quite hot and humid between May and September.
But winter can offer some bone-chilling cold and substantial snow.

You guys crack me up.

(and Snarf, so you know, I totally appreciate your perspective and most often find nodding along as I read your posts. But I had to stick up for our Field Hockey players, you know? :stuck_out_tongue: )

@Dan
What’s funny? :slight_smile: :slight_smile: Am I missing something here?? (I am asking literally of course)

^^^^^ Just the conversation about snow. Made me smile, for no particular reason.

I actually find myself grinning at what New Englanders think is cold, or snowy. Where I’m from, 40 degrees below zero (what scale, you ask? doesn’t matter - they meet at 40 below) and eleven feet of snow isn’t unheard of.

Dan, I understand - posting late at night after a long day doesn’t always result in the most charitable phrasing on my part. Sorry again.

Snarf, I know about such climates… from my geography text books. :D
