Activities Section v. Resume

If there are any College Advisors or Admissions Officers out there reading this, I'd like to know if you welcome or frown upon the resume. Does it make the applicant look too "packaged"? Is it better to cram as much as possible into the Activities section, or add the resume for stuff not includable otherwise? Thanks.

I wondered the same question. Would those reviewing college apps be happier to just get a sense of the student from the EC sheet rather than be burdened to read another piece of paper?

We have been told by a few college advisors that a resume is appropriate if a student has a “but I” situation that cannot be explained either in the activities section or in an essay…

“But I did this” or “But I accomplished this” …

Include a resume…the more information the better!

Not necessarily. They don’t want to read a repetitive application
