or Career-Oriented? or Science/Math if that's the subject area I interned in? Non-paid internship.
I don't know which one to choose from the drop down menu!!! Please help me out! thanks.

Please, anyone! Even if you're not sure, what would YOU select from the drop down menu? I really don't know which one!

I would put carreer oreinted. In the end, I don't think the caegory will matter though as long as you write that it is an internship in the"descripion" box.

I did an unpaid internship (in science R&D) for two summers; since I did a sci re project also it went under science/math for me. for you it could be either that or career - don't know enough abot you - but I would not list it as community service

It depends on what you were doing for whom as an intern. Unpaid work doesn't automatically equal community service, but would if you were working for a charity or non-profit community organization. If you were working for a company in a clerical capacity or as a "trial before hire," it would be career-oriented. If you were working in a uni lab, it would be topical (e.g., math/science).

Thanks for responding to all of you! Very much! It was at a hospital/medical center. I did not complete any research or anything of the sort, just interned. It is the field I want to go into, so I think I will put career oriented!
