Can you include an acitivity sheet with the application or are you required to write everything in Question/Essay 4?

I wrote one paragraph for each of my top few activities (I did my top 3), and then wrote a note at the bottom to "Please see attached Activities Sheet," and attached one.

My daughter is a freshman at Brown. We called last year to see if it was ok to attach a "resume" and say "see attached resume" and they said it was perfectly ok to do that. My D did do that. She attached her three page annotated activity/award resume that she sent to every college. So, you can attach a resume and have that be "it".

Goodness.. I thought resumes had to be just one page...

So for Brown should I write a paragraph each about my most meaningful activities (2 or 3).
And then attach a resume..
And also on the resume.. can I write how many hours per week, and weeks per year I did each activity?

I know I just responded to your other post, but to answer your questions here. IN the question, it says to note how many hours and weeks/year in your response.

If you must attach a resume, definitely also write the paragraph.

I actually didn't write the paragraph, just made a list. I think it's really up to you what you want to do; if brown really wanted it a certain way, they'd tell you.

This is what they say:

"Please tell us, roughly in order of their importance to you, those individual activities and awards which you believe best represent your greatest achievements and interests.

Tell us approximately how many hours per week each activity entails."

It does not mention essays... should I put one in?

I just assumed that it was asking for a list ... never wrote a paragraph. I had a sample resume that my guidance counselor gave me, which was basically a list, and I followed that.

my resume includes the number of hours and weeks i did the activities..
that's ok right?

That's what I did, but I'm wondering if I have to elaborate on a couple-- write these paragraphs that people are talking about.

ok but i don't have hours and weeks for EVERY SINGLE activity on my resume. most do have the hours and weeks.. but some are not measurable.. is that ok as well?
lol..

Don't worry about it so much.

hmmm. I took a different approach. I wrote paragraphs about some of my activities and tied them in with each other. i.e how debate, political clubs, and school paper have to do with my opinions on political issues. I forget if i attached a resume too. I think either way should be fine, but since its brown, i figured they wanted a more subjective account of what I did in high school.
