ACTs

does vanderbilt take the highest composite score for the ACTs, or do they only take one report?-do they pick out the highest scores on the tests from 2 exams?-if a student did better on the writing on one exam than on the other could the student submit the first writing score instead of the second writing score?-thank you

They will take your highest scores from each section (eg, highest math, reading, sci, etc) to give you the best score possible.

are you certain?-on their standardized testing requirements page it says to submit an official score report, and nothing about superscoring...how do you know for sure?-thanks again.

I would really like to know this answer. My score goes up to a 34 from a 31 if it is super scored. What other colleges do this?

just contact the admissions office of each school and ask them how they evaluate scores. i called vandy last year and thats what i was told.

No no no. Only SAT is "superscored" ACT is your best composite.

I was told that both were superscored by last years admissions department.

Really? I guess I can't say I've talked to Vanderbilt specifically but I've never heard of any school doing that before.

I personally called Vanderbilt admissions this year, very recently, and was told that only the SAT is "superscored". The ACT is, infact, NOT superscored. Sorry. I wish they did as well.

That's what I thought.

so i cannot submit an ACT writing score from a different test?

No you cannot.
