217 from Wednesday test. I’m hoping the cutoff in Georgia isn’t higher than that. Last year it was said to be 218, but it was around 215 the years before last.

180, dammit -_- but i’m only a sophomore so fingers crossed!

Mamae, I have to confess that I don’t tell my son that I post anything here. But I don’t even tell him I go here to get information and vent. I feel like he has enough pressure and this way I can learn about the process without driving him crazy. It’s not like anyone knows who he is, so I don’t feel like I’m violating his confidentiality…

225 … NM in any state … awesome much?

167 - sophomore (I was really sick when I took the test. -_- Shouldn’t have even been at school)

Any tips on how to improve my score?

UDUBHUSKIES, I’m guessing you’re from Washington? I am too, and haven’t gotten back my scores. Are you sure the cutoff was 213? That seems kinda low.

I was born in seattle, and then moved to minneapolis, actually. However, I want to get in to UDUb. I would check on your Washington’s cutoff, though.

I feel like the PSAT is trickier than the SAT.
Can’t believe that people make perfect scores on both, haha

207

CR 67 (up from 50 last year!)
M 74 (gahh stupid reading directions carefully)
W 66 (all I need to learn is how to improve paragraphs better)

Relatively happy with my 24 point jump from 183 last year.

SCORES ARE OUT?!
D:
Washington’s cutoff is 218-220. I had a 2270 on my SAT, so I hope I did well enough. :/

Maybe not getting sick? Have good rest before the test day?

-1 CR (80)
-0 M (80)
-0 W (80)

ILackKnowledge, I think it’s time to change your CC screen name. :-)

Quote/Most of the people in this thread are in the 220s, which is good, but still pretty flawed. At least you can say you didn’t do as poorly as them, but people like you and me who actually have a chance just need to study a bit harder. /endquote

I found this ^ quite arrogant.
The PSAT by no means measures intelligence. It measures meticulousness. I’m in the mid 210s, which is 100% due to silly errors I would have caught had I been paying more attention. There were no questions I could not have answered correctly on the PSAT. Sure, it takes quite some intelligence to be in the 99th percentile, but the scores within vary simply based on how careful and patient one is.

Sophomore year, I got a 222. This year, when it actually counts, I get a 215. WHAT HAPPENED? SO MAD. I live in Ohio…do you think I’ll make it?

^ Yes. I think you will probably make it. 215 has been highest it’s been in at least 10 years.

Freshman daughter received a 211 but noticed Florida’s cut off jumped from a 210 to a 214!

CM 69 with 3 wrong and 1 omitted by accident
CW 71 with 2 wrong
She took the SAT as an 8th grader and received a 2010 so looks like some progress. Sure hope Florida doesn’t go up much more.

Does the SAT even correlate with the ACT? I made a 35 on the ACT as a sophomore, but can’t imagine breaking 2000 on the SAT…

Skeezey, some people do better on one than the other. Others do equally well on both. Practice both to see which you prefer.

35 is great though and you may not need SAT with a 35 ACT.

Skeeze, Google SAT ACT conversion chart. Your 35 ACT is much better than a 2080 on the SAT.
