How does the tests in the The Real ACT prep book compare with an actual adminstered ACT? Are the real ones harder, easier, the same? And are the curves the same too?

bump..............

since they're real past tests, i'm guessing it's the same.

i've actually found that practice ACTs are always much easier than the actual ones - especially the science section. i'd get a 33 on a practice science section, and then end up with a 27 for the science section on the actual test..but i dunno..maybe that's just me

Grammer is nearly the same. Math is harder in the real exam. Reading is easier in the real exam. As for tha science part, the real exam is harder than the ACT prep.

The entire book is made the ACT(the test makers) and the practice tests are close to the actual national exam(except Science, the difficulty varies).

I felt completely unprepared by the red book for the June ACT math section. I consistently scored in the 29-32 range on their five practice tests, but on the real test day I scored a 25 which was kind of a slap in the face. It wasn’t necessarily harder, just felt different from the practice tests. I didn’t feel adequately prepared at all (and I took 17 practice tests total from Kaplan, Barron, and Princeton). Everything else I thought was fine. My practice scores were very similar to my real scores.
