For some reason my dad was told that Wake cost close to 60 grand a year. (thus making it by far the most expensive school in the country by a long shot.) Im almost positive he was given some bad info because Wakes literature states costs close to 44 grand. Anyone know what it really comes to??

I paid just shy of 20K for this semester at Wake for my son. He receives no scholarship money--but has a low meal plan this semester (I think 7/wk?). Thus your dad did get erroneous info--with books, full meal plan, etc. --the literature is right.

Yeah, it's not close to 60 thousand a year.

yea, the amounts they give on hte website for next year are more or less accurate, including spending money. if you take that out, you get the official cost you must pay as a freshman, and for next year it comes to 44,680. they have books at 425 per semester, which is pretty accurate. last semester my books were close to 600 because i was taking orgo and calc 112, both of which have expensive books, but this semester i am around 425.

According to the Campus newspaper Tuition will be $34,230 next year. Room and board is something like 5,000 -6,000 dollars depending on whether you get a single or double
