Do you guys know when the decision date is? The website doesn’t give a very specific date. Last year when did people start receiving decisions?

according to another thread, they said it should be coming out around 3/26. heres the link to the thread

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/boston-university/867952-looks-like-3-26-a.html

Damn I’m nervous…I just got waitlisted at Wash U and now I feel as though I won’t get into BU :(.

You think YOU’RE nervous? I just got rejected by Wash U…

they send us an email when the decisions are up

i was also waitlisted by wash u, with sub-par stats.

but don’t worry about BU, with a 55% acceptance rate…

BU has a 55% admittance rate?

I’ve head and swore I read 55% somewhere, and I looked on BU’s Freshman Profile but could not find it.

However, I looked it up on the College Board, but they say the acceptance rate is about 58%. BU is not extremely competitive.

yea their acceptance rate is over 50% and their yield is low

I think people are making BU sound harder to get into then it actually is. My friend got in with a 3.0, 1800 SAT, with early decision.

It’s a great college but it will eat your money.

Oh wow, collegeboard must have updated the school profile last time I visted the school profile ( this week) acceptance rate was at 54%.

Northeastern is releasing their RD decisions today. Accordng to the NU board, there are more denials, waitlistings and deferred to January, 2011’s than there are acceptances. Is Northeastern that much more selective than BU?

in an international applicant and i got into NU with decent/average grades. business school.and they gave our decisions almost a month ago - rd.

*Northeastern has only released most of the east coast up till now. The rest of the US (mostly the west coast) have yet to hear. The website has extremely high traffic right now so it is taking even longer, but Tom Sr. is right in saying that there have been a ton of people waitlisted/rejected. More surprising, is the amount of people that have been deferred to January 2011 (including myself); it really isn’t ideal but if its your first choice I guess you have to keep yourself productive until January 2011.

just got straight up rejected from NU. Scared as **** now for BU decision.

what is up with the January admissions–I mean you aren’t waitlisted but you don’t start with everyone else. does it mean that I wasn’t a strong applicant–so i will be at the bottom of the class and struggling to keep up academically? or does it mean nothing–it is what is is? any insight anyone has would be great

Okay, so I just got into Northeastern. Being that is has a lower acceptance rate/is more competitive this year than BU, does this mean that my chances at BU are likely? Its my second choice, im so nervous!

I got into NU back in December.
I just sent my final financial aid documents to Bu- will my descision be delayed if I just got all the finaid docs in?!?

I got rejected too!! I’m so scared for BU because it is my first choice and I applied ED and got deferred… So nervous!

Oh man… I didnt get into Northeastern as well, I hope I get into BU… it is my number one choice, I also applied to general studies so I think I have a bigger chance. Especially when I am an international student with an 1820 score and 3.0 GPA with loads of EC’s and good essays. Hopefully better than the average student who gets in
