Actual holistic review timeline...Class of '23

I was wondering if anyone had knowledge of a realistic time frame for receiving admission status after undergoing holistic review for non-AA’s? My child applied the first week in August, non-auto admit, and status has been complete and “file under review” for months, if not longer. So I was curious as to how long the review process actually takes.I know AA’s would be done first, well I assume that, and I know the formal date is by Feb 1 but the reality is it may be sooner. She was admitted readily weeks ago to her other possible choices so now we are just checking mystatus daily! I keep telling her well at least you aren’t a “no way!” but I don’t even know if that’s actually how it works. Thanks in advance for any input!

I’m certainly no expert and I’m in the same boat as you…my daughter is not AA and she applied Sep 30. They can take up until Feb 1 to render a decision; however, based on prior year’s threads here on CC, there may be small waves (like less than a 1000 young adults) that hear something in Nov and December. Its a long, grueling wait. UT is my daughter’s 1st choice, but last to hear back from. Ugg. LOL

We did it last year and are doing it again. It appeared to be totally random!! My son got into Plan 2 and McCombs first week of Dec last year as a non auto but many (most!) autos and holistic reviews didn’t get in to their major until the spring. It truly appeared totally random! Engineering and a few other schools appeared to do very few early ones!

TXlove is correct though…tiny waves got in before big spring waves. I did feel like BHP and Plan 2 both drove a couple of the tiny early waves though. I think they both did a fall release and then a Spring one.

Have you guys heard back yet?
