I don't have the REAL Sat Subject tests book that is sold by the collegeboard. Could anyone possibly put up the scale for Biology from that book? I know it's asking a lot but I would be so grateful. Thanks in advance.

If anyone is kind enough to do this, all I would need is the range for a 700-800.

thats the scale that you will find in just about every book.

Is the scale even accurate? How is a raw score of 76 a 780??!!! I know for sure that the chem scale is generous.

the scale is accurate. the scale for the Biology subject test is much harsher than Chemistry, and I believe Physics as well. I guess there's a higher percentage of kids who do super duper well on the SAT II Bio and make the curve difficult on kids who can't get everything right...

just looked up the chem scale, its not that much more generous...

sry for the confusion but my last post was for chem. The sparknotes scale says like miss 3 is 790. My barrons book says you can miss 10-12 and still be in good shape for 780-800. Which one is more accurate?

I don't think the sparknotes scale is very accurate... it seems like it's the same thing for Chem and Bio, but we know the Chem curve is more generous.

i dont think sparknotes is accurate either, it says you can only miss ONE for an 800, but i think u can miss up to 3-4 .....

actually, the sparknotes chart starts at 80 questions, and there are 85 total questions are the test so...

Those Sparknotes scales are baloney. The curve is 10 questions for Chem and a minimum of 5 questions for Bio.

so whats the real scale?

I'll post it when I reach home.

Why doesnt sparknotes post a physics scale? I used the Kaplan scale for the sparknotes test.. Is the kaplan scale for physics accurate?

naidu90 - can you please post the scales for Chemistry and World History if possible? Thanks!

and BIO too :)
