<p>I know you posted this awhile back, but my son is going to pursue Actuarial Science this fall. He has been accepted into FSU Honors, and we are waiting to hear from UF. We understand he would have to minor in Actuarial Science at UF. I have been searching for students’ feedback on the program at FSU. We are planning to visit with department heads at both schools. I was wondering how the recruitment process was at FSU. I would think for this major, it may be better than UF.</p>

<p>Congratulations! This is an excellent area of study.</p>

<p>We had a student who said she wanted to study actuarial science post in the FSU CC section some time ago. I don’t recall hearing from her since.</p>

<p>I suppose you could take a math major and an AS minor and then enter grad school to study AS, but why spend the money when it seems preparation as an undergrad allows you to take the exams around graduation? </p>

<p>I cannot imagine a reason why anyone interested in this area would even consider UF as the UF minor does not prepare the student for the actuarial exams. <p>Frankly, the UF program looks like a joke when compared to the FSU program.</p>
