Actuarial Science major...

Penn State's business school has the actuarial science major

Grads with an act. science degree make a median starting salary of 55k-60k

i think penn state doesnt accept transfer students without AA/AS.
thats why i didnt apply.

there's no list in us news for act. science.
you can find schools that provide that major though.
SOA - Undergraduate – Advanced ---- for advance program

SOA - Undergraduate – Introductory ---- for introductory program

iville got drake..but i guess he/she chose University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, right?

i got drake scholarship for fall 08. the max scholarship is smaller than last year though,,i guess its because the us economy that become worst and worst.

i hv a friend who is studying act. science in OSU. its quite big,,there are 110 students in that major, and you can pass up to 4exams when you graduate.
but my other friend in purdue said that OSU act science program is kinda new and is not really popular (though its a great school).

i was recommended to apply to drake, illinois state uni, baruch, and nebraska lincoln for transfer.
(i hv a not so decent gpa, sat, toefl, whatever it is,, so all of my choices are not fancy univs)

like others have said, for act science, it doesnt really matter where youre graduated from..how many exams you pass is what matter.
goodluck

i am interest in being an actuary too. but between UC berkeley and UC santa barbara, which one should i choose? i know that ucb is famous, ucsb has actuary program, the only one in california... anyone know?
