Adcom on vacation?

To admitted students...

For some reason, my regional officer (Isabel Gomez, Int'l) has stopped responding to my e-mails since early december. I asked something about merit aids after I was accepted......

I understand if they are taking a short break before the RD cycle, they deserve it. I just want to know...... hmm perhaps they are too caught up with int'l applicant questions right now to answer mine? Anybody know, or have recent correspondences with adcom officers?

Well... it is Christmas. I would be suprised if they WEREN'T taking a break.

well, yeah... today, obviously. I said she "stopped responding since early december" (like Dec. 10). so......anyone else?

I'm not sure exactly how it works, but that's the week after exams end for students. She may be spending that time differently than she would normally. Why don't you just email her again next week? It also sounds as if your question isn't pressing and doesn't need to be answered immediately. Perhaps given the volume of email admissions officers get this time of year she is giving priority to emails whose answers are time sensitive.

Is your question one that any of us may be able to answer?

Mine stopped answering my questions as well...I just figured she got annoyed after a while.

^ lol that's what i figured as well...... ah wel, corranged, ure right, it isn't that urgent yet... i was just wondering if anyone was still actively in contact with their adcoms and maybe they had an explanation. thanks everyone though!!
