Adcoms say "Keep in touch". I saw how?

When adcoms tell you to "keep in touch", is that all BS or are they genuinely interested in "keeping in touch"?

Now keep in mind, I'm applying to art schools with a population of about 1200 students. So they do have more time to communicate with prospective students.

I met some adcoms for the schools I'm looking at and both said to "keep in touch". I emailed adcom 1 with some questions and once again, she reiterated to keep in touch.

How do you do that? Do I just keep on asking questions or talk about something else? I know it's good to develop a good relationship with your adcoms but I don't want to sound too intrusive and annoying. Any thoughts?

They probably just mean that you should feel free to ask any questions they might be able to answer. Counselors have a boring job when it isn't crunch time for apps, so I can understand why they'd say that. Students make their job interesting, that's why they're there.

What he said, and they wouldn't really tell you to bugger off would they?
