Adcoms scanning things then printing?/somewhat of a paper vs online question

I read the "paper vs. online" threads.

MY QUESTION: if there is a board of admission officers that reads an app, wouldn't they need a physical copy to pass it on to the next one anyways?

i understand online being easier for their records, but does anyone know if they are actually reading it on a screen or in their hands, then passing it to the next reviewer in their board?

my plan is to hand-write my LOCAL college’s applications then personally drop them off at their offices so it won’t get lost in the mail. they can scan it if they want. i am sending supplements that cannot be “uploaded” or “pasted” into my online applications.

They don’t need any physical documents. A file’s documents are scanned into an electronic format, they’re uploaded and readers access your file from their laptops. They don’t need to print anything as they’ll look over your docs and make notations then move to the next file.

BTW: you’re being paranoid about the US mail. Save on the gas money – or better yet, apply online. You’re actually saving everyone time and effort.

Most (all?) colleges urge you to apply online. It’s much, much easier for them.
