I recieved a packet from USMA and one of the questions on the questionaire was: Have you ever been diagnosed with ADD or ADHD. Does USNA ask such a question during the application proccess as well? Does anyone know if it is disqualifying or requires a waiver from DODMERB if medication was never prescribed?

Im not sure about the academy but it will cause problems with DoDMERB. A history of a mental disorder like that is disqualifiying in DoDMERBs eyes. As a result, a waiver from the academy would need to be considered. Rule of thumb is if you have been away from cousnelors, psychs meds or anyting for more than 12 months and the espisodes were minor you should be fine.

As far as the academy...i dont know. i wouldnt think that would academically DQ you from the academy. at least it wasnt on AFA stuff. Not sure on that area.

Don't think ADD or ADHD is listed, but I am sure it will be disqualifiying as a behavior disorder.
Typically being off meds for a year is a good thing as sniper said, but you will have to prove EVERYTHING. Go ahead and get everything ready to send in. I am sure they will be asking for it.
This site lists all the disqualifications...
