ADD Coaching

My 18-year old daughter is finally willing to give ADD-coaching a try. I wanted to get her help for the past two years, but she previously refused, however is now willing. I will be contacting a local coach (with experience helping those with ADD) to see about obtaining the help she needs. For those who have gone this route, what is your role as a parent of an adult (18 year old)? Did you initially talk with the coach about your son/daughter, then leave it to them to work out (seems the most ideal way), or did you have any contact with the coach once they started working together to see how things were going (or did you just get information from your son/daughter)?

DD will be attending community college and living at home. She needs help with her executive functioning skills. She is ADD-inattentive, gifted, and extremely disorganized where it affects her school work...not entering assignments in a planner (actually, not using a planner), no "place to put her papers" (this semester she stopped using binders and a backpack and stuffed her papers into a purse without any order. She couldn't find papers, missed assignments, two grades dropped to F's and she was on warning about graduating. She pulled her grades up, and graduated, but her lack of organization is a huge problem).
