Add/Drop Classes

Is it free to just add and drop classes? Or does it get billed to BruinBill?

You will get billed over 9000 dollars…but not right now no. I believe they start billing for add/drop classes like 2 or 3 weeks after class starts

Lol i think he was asking whether changing your schedule (# of units ur taking) affects tuition costs.

No adding, dropping classes don’t cost anything. I think a lot or maybe even a majority of people sign up for more classes than they really plan on taking. So even if you plan on taking only 3 classes, some enroll into 4-5 potential classes, and just feel them out before deciding on which ones they want.

After a certain deadline I think it costs money (15$i think?)to change class from letter grade to pass/no pass (week 6 maybe?i forget). I think there is also a similar deadline for drops/adds, but I dont know for sure.

In general, anything up till end of 2nd week is considered temporary. Meaning, you can change classes as much as you want up to the friday of 2nd week, and even return books (not packaged ones) up till end of 2nd week.

the drop/add deadline with no fees etc. is listed there.

Thanks for the responses, guys.
