<p>I recently applied to a bunch of the UCs. I attend a highly competitive private school in NYC, which is slightly different from most public high schools in that it doesn’t have honors/AP courses in English/History and doesn’t rank students based off GPA/ranking. Since the UCs doesn’t ask for a school profile/actual transcript, I worry that they won’t be able to view my application under the context of my school. Do you think it makes sense to email the UCs, adding a short section in the additional info section about my school? Thanks in advance.</p>
<p>That’s a fair worry but, other than weaving that into your essay - there really isn’t anything you can do.</p>
