Thoughtful list. I’m assuming you are a full pay student. Is that correct? If so, you should have some interesting choices.
Adding Notre Dame is a question of having a better high reach than Michigan.
I can tell you at my firm Bucknell and Lehigh kids get interviews over Richmond kids. Trust me.
Penn State for out of state is tricky. I dont think its prudent to call it a safety. I will say its a very bad value for out of state.
For out of state William & Mary is hard. University of Rochester is a better school and you have a better chance of getting in.
@txstella Full pay as in able to pay full tuition? If so, then yes. My parents would like to spend a max of about 65k, so BC is about as expensive as they want to pay pretty much.
Yes, I inferred from your list that your parents would pay up to $65K. Thus your list makes sense.
You may get an offer of merit money from a couple of the schools, but it is nice for you that merit money is not essential.
@2019Parent Okay thanks for that. I was not expecting to hear that. Well, I guess Bucknell will go on my list. Match or Reach? The reason why I thought that it didn’t have a good business school is because when I look at some rankings, I can’t find them anywhere. Would you happen to have an explanation for that? Also, does University of Rochester have a good business school. I don’t know anything about the school.
@txstella Yes, I am very fortunate for what I have available and I appreciate that I am able to afford these schools while some other students, far more qualified than I, are not able to go due to financial reasons.
Yes, and University of Rochester has a 3-2 program with the excellent Simon graduate school. Great school.
@2019Parent Thank you so much for everything. You have provided me with more information that I could possibly have imagined.
Thanks everyone for sharing information with me. I think I have received enough information to form a great list of schools that I will continue to research. Thanks!
The University of Rochester offers a choice of a B.S. or a B.A. in business, depending on the intensity of focus desired. I’d think this is a sign that they are committed to the field. UR is a fine university in general. Other posters will have more informed thoughts on how the quality and reputation of their business program compares to other schools.
