Or reaction rate times. Does this also tend to happen among those with Asperger's Syndrome?

I heard about a research study on this - that ADD kids had slower reaction rates than other kids. This may explain why I suck at computer games such as Age of Empires II, even though I've played it SO MUCH.

Does anyone know more info about this?

Also, there is this thing with time perception and ADD kids - I've read that compared to control, time seems to pass slower than normal for ADD kids when they're REALLY bored, but otherwise, time passes faster than normal for them. Time perception is now known to be a SUBJECTIVE thing, and dopamine levels are one answer to the equation.

I defintiely have that problem. I have hard time learning how to drive. I forget to turn my head and look around in all directions. Just can't seem to think about the order of things/drive. etc. It worries me deeply. Cause I really want to be able to driv.e

haha. i have the same thing. like if im just like off thinking.. and someone says something to me. i won't catch the last word or something, then i will be like. "what?" then like a second later im like "ohokay" its weird.. cause i just like think for a second & i know what they said. i also zone out a lottt.

well whats weird is i agree with most of whats been said. i can definitely space out and hear things much later than they were actually said.

i also suck at RTS games even though i have played them alot but less so because of reaction times and more so because i cant keep track of everything i am supposed to be doing.

however, i am an above average FPS gamer, so that kinda negates the reaction time thing. or maybe it just means i have the ability to hyper-focus when necessary, but the rest of the time i am kinda detached from the world by a half second.

ADD has to do primarily with your brain's executive functioning, which means its ability to respond and respond correctly to new feedback / stimuli. So yes, ADD people should have a slower reaction time I would think.

I have ADD..and i do zone out at times..When i drive sometimes i miss stop signs and like during a test i start to talk 2 myself and zone out and start to think about other things....
