<p>You don’t ‘need’ to, but it could help your application. Do you think you’re on the borderline and you should try to get that extra boost? If so, then maybe you should have your guidance counselor send a notice. </p>
<p>They’ll have to find out sooner or later because you’ll need to send them your transcript, so maybe earlier is better- they probably would like the heads-up.</p>
