If you're being serious, you may have just strained an intercostal muscle. You sure it's your heart?

I took 3 pills of adderall XR 20mg over a period of 10 days to study for couple of my finals and the last one i took was on Tuesday( 2 days ago) and noticed some chest pain later that day now i still have a chest pain on my left side, where my heart is.

it comes and goes

....It feels like its sore or the type of feeling you get after working out. i checked my heart rate numerous times and its fine

anybody else had any similar experiences??? SHOULD I FREAK OUT????????????

No im not sure its my heart, but the pain is on my heart side and its been there for 2 days...i dont know what it is, that's why i asked if anybody had any similar experiences..

Let me just remind you that taking medical advice from an online forum (especially one that has very little to do with medicine) is probably not the brightest idea.

But here's a bright idea, go see a doctor. If the Adderall is legal you've got nothing to worry about, if it's not....well you made that choice so now you've gotta find a way to deal with it.

flex your intercostals and tell me if the pain feels sharper. The intercostals are the muscles in your ribs.

You can also put pressure on it and see if it gets worse.

Keep in mind that the heart is actually fairly centred. So if it's just on the left side, it wouldn't be your heart. If you work out, it's a 90% chance that it's your intercostals. I've strained them many times.

Adderall Information from Drugs.com

If it wasn't prescribed to you, STOP and do not take it again. If it was prescribed to you, call your doctor and tell him.

I can do whatever the hell I want, especially considering I've been to the doctor for the exact same symptom (chest pain on the left side, although this was before I ever used adderall). It ended up being a strained intercostal muscle. I'm telling him to do exactly what the doctor told me. So shut it.

i'm not taking it anymore, the last one i too was 2 days ago...i only had 3 pills, and its not like i took them just for fun...they were for a good cause or i thought they were at that time.....this sucks if it doesnt go away in couple of days..ill call a doctor

did you do what I said?

yeah i did what you said, that's not it, thanks tho

I don't know, adderall elevates heart rate. Similar effects to ephedra. I don't know if the heart muscle ever gets sore or not. Maybe not a good idea to jack up your heart rate for extended periods 3 times in a small time frame.

yeah thanks

Russell7, my post was directed towards Collegez. I don't understand your anger. You can do what the heck you like. Collegez on the other hand, is concerned for his health.

nysmile my response was to a different poster who deleted her post.

yeah he was
