It’s only to be expected that most of the participation in the fora on CC is amongst teens and twenty-somethings (and their parents). However, there is an increasing number of people who are returning to school (or considering doing so) later in life, and they face unique challenges and concerns. For example, I would like to know from others who have already been down this road how they think their professional experience or community involvement has helped or hindered their applications process; a question that would be lost on most here who go directly from secondary school into college. I think it would be of benefit to many older people to be able to discuss those issues in a dedicated forum. Would this be the correct place to suggest such an addition to CC’s discussion areas?
Have you seen this?

Chedva – No, I hadn’t seen that – probably because I was thinking that the proposed forum would be broader in scope than just admissions. However, it seems the existing forum already has relevant threads, so I’ll just participate there. Thanks for the tip!
It’s rather tucked away far beneath the Admissions area (a sub-topic of a sub-topic, actually), so not the easiest to find via direct navigation.
By the way, we have moved the Non-Traditional students forum up one level so it is more prominently displayed.
I just noticed that change - thank you, from a non-traditional student!
