Hey this past weekend I won an award for a competition and I want to let my colleges know.
Should I just email my application processor and say: hey I won an award and i want it on my resume?

thanks

Is this award at a state, regional or national level? If it’s just school level (and not NMF), I wouldn’t bother. If it is noteworthy, a quick note that mentions the award and reiterates your interest is fine. At worst, they ignore it, or don’t see it before making the decision. At best, it helps.

So do things like NAF count? I mean, it’s not NMF, but it’s something…right?

i won a district competition and will be going to state

^Eh…I think you should win at states first before notifying colleges.
