Adding marks?

<p>Hey, I've heard a few different times that when applying to schools in the US, they add 5-10% to a Canadian's percentage mark! I find that sort of hard to believe, so can anyone clarify?:)</p>

<p>From my personal experience and hearsay from friends who work in admissions offices: that’s not true.</p>

<p>I think it’s just because Canadians have a different grading system.
our A’s are considered to be 80-100, while in the states, it’s only 90-100. </p>

<p>This can be very confusing, and I am trying to figure it out as well.
ex. my 85 average could be a 3.75 gpa, or a 3.00. </p>

<p>From what GC told me, the highschool will send your transcript, as well as a Canadian grading chart to refer to.</p>
