Hi! I'm a business major and I have 15 credit classes all together. Should I add more classes because I feel like it's not enough. I have 2 classes from mon-thurs and 4 on friday.
I'm a full-time freshman and I also heard it costs more for every credit hour you add on your schedule. Is that true?

See
[UB Office of the Registrar: Class Registration](UB Office of the Registrar: Class Registration)
… In order to graduate in 4 years, students should take an average of 15 credits per semester. Students can register for a maximum of 19 credits during the fall and spring semesters…

They charge you the FT tuition regardless you’re taking 12 credits or 19 credits.

I believe they charge you the same tuition for 12+ credits. You can register for up to 19 credit hours without having to go through your department to get permission to take more. 15 credits is fine for your first semester and you’ll be able to see how many you think you can handle in the future.

As a freshman, I would not recommend more units. Do you have any labs associated with your classes yet? My daughter is a senior at UB in engineering. She would not recommend more classes. You haven’t started yet and the classes are not at high school level AP’s. They are difficult. Give UB some credit. Some of your classes will have seniors who know how to study; their tests will be compared to yours. My daughter is now taking some of her “lower division classes”; she’s taken a ton of upper division math for engineers. I hope you don’t have her in your classes.

Additionally are you living on campus? When do you plan to eat, sleep, do laundry, clean your room, study?
