The round 2 registration date (where you can add up to 18 units) is around next week, but when its our date, is the hold on our account automatically remove for the day? Or do we have to call an advisor to add the class that we want.

Thats what I want to know! There are two classes I want to add yet both have plenty of seats 8-9 taken and 29-30 available.

Does your MyCSULB look similar to this? http://i.imgur.com/vgkqjxW.png

Mine is the exact same except the max units is 16 not 14. Maybe because I’m a freshmen?

Yeah I’m a transfer student plus I have all my G.E. finished Maybe they give freshmen 16 unit since you guys need to take all the extra G.E. courses. Still I don’t see why they would limit us. Most upper division courses are restricted to freshmen and sophomores - so its not like they’re saving classes from filling up.

Also found the dates for round 2

Yup so youll be adding classes before I do. I think I will just call AARC the morning of my registration date…and see from there. Are you a junior?

You should tell me how it goes when you add your classes! Good luck ;)

Yes I’m a Junior. I’m just hoping it works out like the dates above indicate, but will post up and let you know.

if you guys are wondering if there is anything extra you have to do when the unit cap is lifted for the second round, the answer is no. the hold will be automatically lifted at your given time and you can add the extra classes just like you did the first time.

Thanks so much EliteToast :)

Hey guys! Is it true that transfer students can’t register for the max of 18 units until August 5? I called the Enrollment Office this morning and that is what they said, but I just want to make sure.

Maybe I tried just now and says “Unit Limit Exceeded For Appointment Period.”

My appointment time apparently began at 12:00pm on June 1st, even though we couldn’t sign up for class until attending SOAR, so I’m going to wait until 12 and try again. Might just be the computer system doesn’t automatically lift the hold until that time.

This page says August 5th all students can enroll in 18 units, but that previous link I posted makes it sound like we should be allowed to enroll sooner.

Yeah, based on the info provided in that page, everyone should be able to register at their given time. It doesn’t say anything about transfers waiting until the 5th tho. So when I called and I was told that transfers had to wait until the 5th, I was a bit surprised. I’ll keep trying and hopefully a miracle happens!

Meh! I called them and got the same story Monday Aug 5th. I guess that gives me time to contact professors and try to enroll in some courses that have the option of either prerequisite or instructor consent.

The one class I really wanted to take, a capstone course that would’ve also counted towards my major, is now full :(

according to that link it looks like you all should be good to register on the 2nd. which makes sense because the second round started earlier this week.

meowww: you should already be able to register. your standing im assuming is a junior and their period began today.

EliteToast: I’m a junior and should have been able to register for more units today, but every time I tried to add a course it said that I was over the unit limit of 14. I called the Enrollment services office for clarification , and they said all transfers have to wait until the 5th. It sucks big time!

They emailed me the following:

Enrollment Services is allowing ‘continuing’ juniors to sign up to 18 units today - unfortunately, incoming juniors (and freshmen) will need to wait until August 5th to sign up for more courses. These dates apply to continuing students, and then on August 5th, all students (both continuing and incoming) will be allowed access to more units.

If you have further questions or concerns about this process, you’re welcome to reply back or contact Enrollment Services (562-985-5471).
