Adding the Accounting Minor...

I'm going to be a frosh in sept, SEAS, CSE major, just want to ask how hard is it to add on an Accounting Minor from the Anderson School. I know that I have to take some required courses for the prereqs and then I have to send in an app of some sort. Does any one kno if its possible to complete GE requirements for my major and also satisfy the prereqs? Also, anyone kno anybody who has done this and graduated w/the minor? Thanks in advance.

I don't personally know any Accounting minors here, but I think it's very doable to do the Accounting minor while you're a CSE major in the SEAS because the five additional prerequisites can count as your GEs as well... Have you looked over the Accounting minor requirements website?

<a href="http://www.anderson.ucla.edu/x3975.xml%5B/url%5D">http://www.anderson.ucla.edu/x3975.xml</a></p>

You should have enough available units to complete your major, your GE requirements, and the accounting minor. None of the classes in the accounting minor overlap with any of the GEs though, if that's what you're asking. But the calculus in the accounting minor pre-req does overlap with CSE (i think?).

most of the people i know doing accounting are business economics majors.

wow thx for the help. yep i looked at the site for accounting, but theres one thing that i want to ask: i have to complete those prereq courses and apply after soph year right? or is it anytime that i complete those courses that i apply for the minor?

wonderings this as well. i assume u complete the lower division courses then u declare ur minor?

But isn't it true there is no guarantee you will be accepted to the minor?
