<p>On CommonApp, for my schools that only require one recommendatoin it says they accept up to 3. Would it be to my advantage to add an additional teacher since the recommendation is done for the other schools and is on there already anyway? I'm not sure whether or not to submit both or just one and if so, I waived my right to see them so I'm not sure which one is better.</p>
<p>No, submitting an extra rec is not to your advantage unless it reveals something about you that the other recs would not. This can rarely be achieved with a third hs teacher. More often, extra recs will be from people who knew you in a different context–a professor you researched under, a creative writing mentor, your debate coach.</p>
