My D can only get 3 AP courses due to scheduling conflicts. She wants to major in history or Russian. Her schedule:

AP English
AP French
AP Psych
Physics (not AP)
Calculus (not AP)
PE (required)
Senior project - will be an interdisciplinary project with history/art/computers for a local historical society (community service).
EC - cross-country (JV).
Good paying part-time job (2-8 hours / week)

She is planning to apply to little-ivy and seven-sister schools. Her only other AP was US history, in which she got an A- and a 5, 780 SAT II. Here SAT's were 2220, but her weighted GPA is about 4 out of 5, and unweighted about 3.4, and she is in the top 25% at a pretty decent Massachusetts high school. Naviance shows a good match for the women's colleges, and some of the little ivies.

She wants to add a CC course in gov., which would mean dropping either cross-country or the senior project, or both. I am suggesting an on-line AP course, but that would not be included in her GPA. I don't think the CC course would be included either.

She is good at independent study, and spent her free time this summer reading Russian literature, also taking a non-credit philosophy course at a summer high school program at an ivy league school.

From an admissions perspective, will the CC course be better than an on-line AP and make up for dropping cross country or the senior project? In my opinion, can she should forgo both the on-line AP and CC course, and just focus on the senior project and getting more As than Bs.

She doesn't handle stress well, so this decision is very difficult for her.

Thanks in advance.
