additional fin aid info = good news?

i just received an email from dartmouth asking for some tax forms.
apparently, they didnt get the stuff i had sent out...
i didnt receive a likely letter last week, so i'm a little hopeful.
could this mean good news?

also, i received my username/pw for my online account and it says that they have received all the materials they need. but i didn't get a snail mail confirmation. anyone else have that problem?

thanks!

sorry, this just means that FinAid needs the forms to complete thier internal review should you be accepted; their review is separate from the Admissions office.

Students (and their families) barely have 4 weeks to choose a college (May 1 deadline), so FinAid needs to prepare all need-based awards by the end of March to enable acceptees to make an informed decision.

i dont know about that... i got a financial aid e-mail about one week before ED came out saying they needed more stuff, and i know those who turned in the exact same stuff as me (only the CSS profile) but were deferred/rejected didn't get the e-mail. but then again, that was one week before decisions came out... for reg dec. it is probably different since they have so much more to process they probably start doing fin aid way early

I agree with gnc...they aren't gonna waste their time preparing packages for people who haven't already made some kind of a cut. I would take this as a positive. The right hand doesn't always know what the left hand is doing.
