Additional Info guidelines?

<p>For the “Additional Info” section on the application, I know it has a 500 word limit. I’m using it to explain (earlier) poor academic performance.</p>

<p>Is it better to make it short and concise? Or can you use it <em>almost</em> like another essay? I’m worried that the adcom won’t want to read another huge block of text, even if it does explain my circumstances.</p>

<p>My college counselor and guidance counselor told me that it's simply a place to put down additional information, as the name suggests. They both told me NOT to write it in essay form or use it to attach an additional information or resume.</p>
