"Additional Info" question

Ever since I was little, I've struggled a lot with joint and back pain. It got really bad at the beginning of junior year, but I was not able to receive treatment because my mom lost her job and we didn't have health insurance. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia a year ago. This is obviously something I want to let the admissions officers know about but I don't know how to phrase it in a way that's not whiny or a total sob story, because they don't like that. I was hoping to hear from parents who've had experience in the admissions process, it's kind of a sensitive subject (hence why I'm posting here). Any tips? If anyone is interested in reading what I have written, please let me know.

For those curious, I'm applying to several schools, including some ivy.

I am not sure why are you mentioning it. Many, many students have painful conditions. My one daughter had a seven month long migraine and it did affect her school but she didn’t even mention it. Nor her problems with low blood pressure or her shoulder surgery. Nor will her younger sister mention osteoporosis when she applies even though she has had many, many broken bones. Why? Because they have nothing to do with how well or not well they will do academic work.
