<p>Do not use the section for an additional essay, but you should use it for information that you believe the people reading your application absolutely MUST know (really extraordinary circumstances, important activities or awards that don’t fit anywhere else on the application, etc). Don’t put anything uninteresting or unimportant into this section.</p>
<p>Harvard’s Supplement offers you the opportunity to write an optional
essay. The additional info section of the common app is meant for
detailing your activities or sharing special circumstances, extra-curricular
academics (such as online program) details etc. It may not be a good idea
to write an essay in this section.</p>
