I am adding a "resume" in the additional info section of Commonapp. It isn't exactly a resume since I am only elaborating on extracurriculars, as there is barely enough space to put anything in the activities list.

1) Should I include all the extracurriculars in the resume or just my two main ones that have loads of extra information?

2) I have an additional essay that I want to include in the additional info section. It's about intellectual interests/ pursuits and isn't listed anywhere else. I have to combine the resume and the essay together. My question is: Should I include the essay. It's well-written and displays another side of me not listed elsewhere.

Both resume and essay are around 2.5 pages.

On my resume, I left off activities I was in for a year or had no leadership role in. You should decide how important the other activities are to you. Also remember that your resume should present a coherent picture; including a smattering of unrelated clubs will only obscure your real interests.

I would submit a resume and not an additional essay. Adcoms have a lot to read; economy is important. If the essay is truly excellent, it should be used as the Common App main essay or as a supplement essay.

^Thanks. I have already submitted my app, which includes both resume and essay for 1 college. (I Hope they do not reject me because they are irritated). I think I’ll remove the essay for the other apps.
