Additional Info Section?

Hi guys, quick question. I realize that there is a short answer portion of the commonapp designated for the elaboration of one of your EC's, but what if you would like to elaborate on more than one, or if your explanation exceeds 1000 characters? Is it okay to just add another explanation in the additional info section, or is this frowned upon? Thanks in advance!

bump! I really want to know what you guys think about this too!

Well, I don’t think it’s a good idea to use the additional information section for if your explanation exceeds 1000 characters (if your explanation exceeds 1000 characters, it means you have to find a way to make it shorter).

As for using the additional information to elaborate on another EC, I guess that might be okay if the EC is really, really awesome.

But these statements above are only what I think. You could always give an email to the Common App people and see what they say.

My son did include a few details regarding to one of the ECs, so using the “additional information” to elaborate on another EC is totally fine, I agree as well.
(But try your best using your wordings efficiently, definitely don’t include another long essay.)
