Additional info?

Hi,
I've applied to Scripps for the JES scholarship, so my app is all submitted. This weekend, though, I just found out that I've gotten what basically amounts to an award placing me in the top 3 in the US for the subject. Obviously, I think it'll be a big help to my app, and I want to let Scripps know!

What's the best way to do this? Email? Snail mail? And how should I report it? The thing is, it's the first year the US is participating, so it's not very well-known yet, and I think it almost requires a bit of explanation, but I don't want it to sound too cocky. Advice?

Thanks! :)

I think you should call them. The secretary will either tell you how to approach that or direct your call to an admissions counselor.

Yes, call you admissions counselor, I'm sure they will be happy to include it in your app.
here is the list if you don't know who she is:
Scripps College : Admission : Contact Your Admission Counselor

Great, thanks guys! :)

D'you know when in January they tend to announce JES finalists?

For Fall 2006, merit scholarship applicants started getting their letters around Jan 9th, 2006 and JES weekend started Feb 9th.

For Fall 2007, merit scholarship applicants started getting their letters around Jan 8th, 2007 and JES weekend started Feb 8th.

So for Fall 2008, merit scholarship applicants might start getting their letters around Jan 7th, 2008 and JES weekend starting Feb 7th?

Last 2 years they have put the finalists up at the Doubletree Claremont on Foothill Blvd. Usually over 500 apply for the JES and around 100 (?) are come for the finalist weekend. I would imagine a few more than 100 are finalists and some can't come for the weekend.
