For those who are at high schools that do not offer APs, honors, etc...i know that the GC is suppose to include such info in the school profile but mine doesn't even know what a school profile was, and when i explained, she still didn't know...anyway should you put that info in the additonal info part? Also, if your school don't offer academic awards or have the "big" clubs and such...should that be mentioned as well...? THANKS

i was just wondering why do colleges ask what your first language is, if it's not English...?

bumpppppppppp

Anyone have nothing to put for the academic honors section on common app b/c your school doesn't give any? Does National Honor Society count as one?

Perhaps you could type up a profile of your school for the Guidance Counselor to look at. She can make additions/changes and include it in your application materials. If the GC won't do it, then talk to one of the teachers who is writing a rec for you and ask the teacher if she/he would enclose it with her letter or address your concerns in your behalf..

thanks collegehelp, i think i'll do that...but does NHS count as an honor in the academic honors section of the common app?

yeah i guess so. but it counts for extracirricular/club too.
