Additional information mishap!!

So in my additional info section, I noted that when I took physics and chemistry, there were no honors versions of those classes like there are now. I forgot that this was the same with algebra 2, and didn’t include that in my additional info. Will the school report that my GC sends say when some classes became honors classes? For example, will the school report give the year when honors physics was added to my school’s curriculum? Also, my GC had to rate my schedule rigor from 1-10, and I took the hardest classes possible, so will this cover for not mentioning that algebra 2 didn’t have an honors version when I took it? Or should I email my admissions officer to address it?

First, ask your guidance counselor directly to see if the “school report” details all that. In my kid’s school’s case, I was surprised to find that the school report going out does NOT include any such detail. It’s very small school, limited AP classes, no honors classes, but with a 40% increase in school size in the last 3 years and an increase of AP offerings just in the last year or two – too late for my daughter, however.

My daughter’s finding it hard to figure out WHERE to put this info in her Common App. She also just found this out (that the school report didn’t include these details) after she already submitted multiple EA applications, so she’s going to call all of those admissions counselors to ask them directly how she should share that information.

Good luck!

I would think the GC’s report would capture this. You can certainly email your admissions officer.
