"Additional Information" on Application

Forgive me if this has already been asked...but, is it okay if I attach a more descriptive, expanded resume for the document upload under "Additional Information"? I feel like the space given for "School Related and Outside Activities" is very slight and does not do justice at all to me.

And perhaps expand the 300-character responses, I don't know.

What should I do? What is supposed to go under "Additional Information," anyway?

Thanks in advance.

I wasn't sure what to put there, so I left that part blank when I applied. Don't feel compelled to put something if you can't think of anything.

And no, I don't think it's a terribly good idea to attach an expanded resume with longer answers to the questions. The character limits are there for a reason; everyone has to deal with trying to squeeze themselves onto a couple of lines.

Well, I wasn't really trying to go for expanded answers to the questions, but I think I might attach an expanded resume.

should we put in an extended resume?

Paco, I attached an extended resume, although it was more of a categorized list of "Summary of Activities and Accomplishments" than a resume such as I might use for a job application. The difference between bending and breaking the rules, you know? And if you're going to answer the short-answer stuff in a longer format, i would absolutely limit yourself to only doing so for the Why-Columbia blurb. That's a key piece of the app and choosing your words carefully is key; i think it's ok to expound a LITTLE under separate cover. But don't turn it into a free-for-all.
