Is it common for students to submit an extra page detailing an unusual extracurricular in more detail? Will this make the application stand out at all or is it somewhat common among the highly qualified applicants of Harvard?

99% of the time will not make you stand out unless you have cured cancer.

Well I didn’t cure cancer, but I do have a pretty unusual full-time job (postgraduate applicant) that needs additional explanation.

anything that adds to your application and is not redundant is fine. keep the extras to the single page.

Thanks smoda61! Would this information be best attached to the common app or the supplement? Does it matter?

for my kids, it was inserted on the common ap under “additional information”.
