<p>Hello! On the common app there is a section titled "Additional Information" that says to "Please upload a document here if you wish to provide details of circumstances or qualifications not reflected in the application."</p>
<p>I am a little confused about what this optional box is for. Is it to explain poor performance, or does it also provide space for applicants to talk about other stuff. If the latter, could you provide examples?</p>
